Beach Cleanup #2 Gun Beach, Tumon Bay Marine Preserve
December 2, 2022
13 SSHS students
picked up 4 1/2 (5-gallon) buckets of trash.
We recycled:
1 bucket of aluminum cans
1 bucket of glass bottles
3/4 bucket of plastic bottles
We threw away 1 3/4 buckets full of trash.
Strangest thing we found?
2 Red Biohazard bags
(One bag smelled like Poop and had dark things inside it)
Mrs. Blas disposed of these and not the students.
Coolest things: Stand-up Paddleboarder surfing the waves, Meah's heart shaped rock
(It was thrown back into the ocean bc it is a Marine Preserve.), and Wall of Crabs
Thank you to Beach Bar & Grill for supporting our Beach cleanup by allowing us to throw the beach cleanup trash in their garbage bins, sharing their shade and stairs with us, and allowing us to park our bus in their parking lot.
