Modeling the 6R's at School and Practicing it at Home
Continue On-campus Recycling of Aluminum cans & Plastic bottles
During campus cleanups and some beach cleanups,
we bring the aluminum cans back to school to place in our I-Recycle bin,
the plastic bottles to Mr. Kamiaz who delivers them to the Recycling center at Pyramid or GSWA,
the glass bottles to Mrs. Blas who takes it to the glass recycling bins at GSWA, and the steel cans which gets recycled in Mrs. Blas' recycling bin.
Aluminum cans are recycled at home by SSHS students (Kumu Kamiaz, Mrs. Anitok, Mrs. Blas and Mr. Chong) and brought to school and placed in the I-Recycle bin.

ROT-- Shredding paper with Permaculture classes and Marine Biology classes, adding it to compost bin, collecting shredded paper from CRT Office, adding to green waste in the garden
Adding fruit waste from campus cleanups to compost bin
Students collect green waste at home and bring it to school to compost.
Students create a compost bin at home to compost fruit and vegetable scraps for their gardens or bring their compost to school if they live in a condominium or apartment and are unable to have a outdoor compost bin at home.
